Hi.. Smile

I am doing the Energy modeling and analysis for a residential building project to comply with the LEED requirements. For satisfying the section 5.4 of ASHRAE 90.1, I need to select the Insulation parameters from teh corresponding climate zone as provided in 90.1. But unfortunately, dubai is not listed in the international cities climate zone list.

Would you be able to help me out on this..?? From where can I get the corresponding climate zone for dubai, bahrain etc..??
Sad

It's nice to see people see that this A.S.H.R.A.E. 90.1 is a required code.
Seems many buildings in my City will not pass in particular Condo's.

I have done many buildings with this software and my experience is...
YOU CAN NOT GO OVER 50% glass (standard double pane glass).

Please note the glass is the biggest factor (from my experience) and ensure tint is used in the glass to help with the building passing the software.

You also have the "Other" method to pass a buildings...but this only works on "commercial" buildings with flexibilities on mech. h.v.a.c. systems (ex. central HRV systems etc.), But with condo's being individual units with it's own heat/cool unit and ductwork within the unit, this central HRV system is not feasable.

Anyway good luck and nice to see world class cities are implementing this code.
Kind regards,
Sven
