are you are? you would be putting out allot of time to extract dupe the edges of the models as well as wouldn't you 'see threw'?

but yes the more tools in our box the better, thou gaging witch is able to save time and has the most ease simplicity & power is also as, if not more important.

to come from everything to go towards anything and that always changing thus being able to offer advise that serves us all in the end to be more efficient. - antisthenes

First move the objects with z-values to z=10e99, then move them back to z=0:

move <enter>
select objects (type "all" or select the objects you want to flatten)
Specify base point or [Displacement] <Displacement>:
type: 0,0,0 <enter>
Specify second point or <use first point as displacement>:
type: 0,0,10e99 <enter>

then back:

move <enter>
select objects (type "all" or select the objects you want to flatten)
Specify base point or [Displacement] <Displacement>:
type: 0,0,10e99 <enter>
Specify second point or <use first point as displacement>:
type: 0,0,0 <enter>

However this does not remove the elevation value for objects.

Anyway: this is the same as the old "Flatten" - command, but where do I find tha in Architecture 2008? DOES ANYBODY KNOW?

And WHY - WHY - WHY - does Autodesk have to do small changes in command names (for instance, why is the old "lsp" command now renamed "appload" - it's f%&¤/& irritating, and unessecary!)

Flatten was part of the express tool set. Where these installed? I don't have Arch-2008 so I cannot test. Appload has been there since r12 IIRC.

... as far as I can see express-tools are now integrated in ADT.
(Of course, this also means that the icons just HAD to be changed.)
But I will see if this can be added anyway.
Thanks.

Well I saw that some of the Express Tools were included in Acad-2007 (Layer II toolbar) but there was still a subset of Express Tools. Maybe this is what happened. Can you type in the "flatten" command?

I work completely in 3D and the flatten command in Autocad 2007 is terrible. It doesn't work all the time. The program seems to get stuck on complicated blocks. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it as well. Currently my way around this is to us a DXB.pc3 printer options, but it creates huge files, and as it is my files are huge already.

Help..!

What is the DXB.pc3? Since I do not think the FLATTEN command works very well I would very much like to install such a printer-opion too...Help!
