| Usually parquet flooring is made up of hardwood or engineered wood. But now parquet designs on laminate are very popular now due to the features of laminate flooring such as strong abrasion resistance, strong stain resistance, strong impact resistance and cheap prices. |

Dear Rockyjp,
Where did you get this definition of parquet?
Using it doesn't help this community at all.
The parquet is made of solid hardwood only and engineered shouldn't be considered parquet, but just flooring.
Parquet it's usually a reduced size rectangle (don't mention hardwood flooring planks here which are rectangular too) shape that makes it possible to compose a certain design when laid down - see herringbone, basketweave, point de l'hongrie, etc.
Of course there are parquet panels composed of multiple pieces of solid hardwoods assembled under a certain design. These panels are laid down making a certain pattern at the floor level.
What's 'parquet designs on laminate'? Where did you find it?
If you refer at laminates these can hardly be considered a "parquet". They're just a flooring, laminated flooring.
