Is this the right forum for me?

Hi, everyone! My husband and I will be building a home in the next few years. We have never built before, so we are in the process of educating ourselves as much as possible about the process and figuring out what we want/don't want.

So my question is, is this the place I want to be to bounce design ideas and questions, or would another forum be better? I like the mix of homeowners and design professionals and the quality of discussion here, and I probably will have a lot of questions/thoughts over the next several months.

Thanks! Definitely I will provide as much detailed info as possible. We're really excited about the whole process and figure the more we know/research, the better.
