I am currently putting together a portfolio to send to undergraduate programs I am applying to. I am not sure exactly what schools are looking for so any insight would be greatly appreciated. I have extensive examples of work I have created in the areas of art, fashion and interior design. Should I include any of these items, or only work related to architecture? Or does it depend on the school? I do not have much experience with architecture as I have only taken a basic drafting and an Auto CAD class. I have some sketches of ideas I have, which I can clean up or create in Auto CAD. Is this the type of thing I should include? I'm not sure what the expectation is of the level of work in a portfolio for application. The impression I get is that they simply want to see that you have ideas and are creative. Let me know what you think.
Thank you in advance oh wize architecture students! |
