Thx to all those who've responded to my last post. Just one more thing. Is there any point in doing a 3yr BSc in Architecture if you're not sure you want to continue the training and qualify as an architect. What kind of options are open to those who have decided to find employment after graduating with a 3yr degree in architectural studies? Do employers treat you as art and design students? thx

It all depends on the schooling you receive in that three year program. If the school teaches the practical aspect of architecture such as CAD, drafting and the total building science, then yes you would be an asset. Yet if the school teaches you how to paint, write an essay, analyse civilization, and neglects to teach you anything practical you will not find a job. Though these courses and related topics are a must to be an Architect, they don't teach you how anything goes together. When I was 5 I could draw a house, albeit not a very elagant one! But to be able to visualize how every piece goes together to form the whole is what is most important. So I guess you need both the practical and theoretical...Once again it's all about the school and their courses! Everyone has their own idea of Architecture and which skills are more relevant than others
P.S. Why not spend ther extra 2 years for your masters? You'll be working for the rest of your life. At least be happy with what you are doing. Plus you'll be payed during your internship so no worries!
