Can anyone tell me what the maximum number of toilets are for a residential home and what that number is based on?
Thanks.. |

Hello,
Not 100% sure...but pretty sure you can have as many as you like (may vary from Country to Country etc.)
The mechanical side of things would be your "fixture" loads, Water and Sanitary...and if your main service can handle the fixture load.
In most homes you have a 4" diameter sanitary drain.
Fixture count for a Private "flusch tank" Toilet is Sanitary 4 F.U. and Cold Water is 3 F.U.
Fixture count for a Public "Flush Valve" Toilet is Sanitary 6 F.U. and Cold Water is 10 F.U.
So you need to add up all the fixtures in the "building/house" and add up the Fixture Units (F.U.) and then you can see if your main services (cold and sanitary) can handle the load.
If you send me your list of fixtures I can quickly add it up for you (only takes a few minutes)
Hope it helps,
Sven

Sven,
You are correct, there are no limits to the amount of toilets. The septic is the only concern, which is based on gpd per bedroom.
There are 7 toilets, 4 bathtubs, 7 bathroom sinks, 1 kitchen sink, 1 laundry tub, 1 hot tub and 1 standalone shower.
Thanks in advance for your computations.

Hello again,
Have made a simple chart/list below for your fixture count'zzzzz (but I leave you to add it up). Please note I added 1 Dishwasher, 1 floor drain (may have more) and I assume the kitchen sink is a Double Compartment Sink. In addition a hot tub is classified as a regular tub.....unless it's big and/or commercial type.
Any~who hope it helps y'a and good luck.

Guess y'a can't make a chart/list just adjust the spacing on the Fixture Units.
