Software development company Aucad Drafting Limited announces the release of the second version of Image2Punch Pro, CAD software for generating perforated pattern designs based on virtually any digital image.

This important upgrade offers several enhancements in its graphical user interface, improvement in its computing performance as well as innovative new features in designing perforated patterns. Over five months in development and testing has been invested in the second version of Image2Punch Pro.

Image2Punch is increasingly being used by many professional architects, turret punch machine owners, industrial designers, signage technicians, street furniture manufacturers, lighting designers as well as CNC programmers around the world. It has been downloaded for more than 3000 copies worldwide and has been commercially used in several countries for their perforated metal projects.

This rapid recognition of Image2Punch around the world is simply because it offers an easy and intuitive way to convert any digital image into a perforated pattern design. Thus, this creates a new market opportunity as well as a revolutionary concept in perforated metal projects. A user can convert their favorite digital image into perforated pattern design in seconds. The available pattern types in this new version are not only limited to square, 45 degree and 60 degree pattern, but have been enhanced by adding two significant pattern types: Circular and Spiral. The angle pattern has also been improved and the user can chose an angle pattern from 15 to 75 degrees. Users can now determine the relationship between image size and perforated panel size either by choosing ‘stretching option’ or ‘proportional option’. The statistic report has also been improved to give a better and more sophisticated format.

A light version of Image2Punch Pro, called Image2Punch Lite, is also available for those who need to generate perforated metal designs but do not want to use Image2Punch’s full capabilities in the Pro version.
