Oh man - I disagree with most of the lists posted here. I need to spend some time thinking about this. I'm surprised Koolhaas isn't ranked - especially with Meier and Zaha on the lists.

A thesis isn't just a project. It's an idea that can be applied to a number of (or all) projects. Write down what you're interested in then begin doing research based on that.

It all depends on the firm. Some firms are wowed by a degree from a specific school while other could care less about the degree and are more interested in the portfolio/ideas.
