What do graduate school's generally look for? What would be a good example of a successful portfolio?
This is for a student coming from a non-Architecture major undergrad so, it wouldn't be architectural drawings.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks! |

| First of all what is your undergraduate degree in? Much like you I made the decision to do the same thing, but coming from a BFA in graphic design. I can tell you from experience that the committe will want to see a variety of your work, they are not looking for one particular thing but more of a creativity side. examples could be any design work, writings, sculptures, built furniture, photography, etc. keep an open mind and just make it look nice. You want to stand out so that they will remember you. It doesnt help to contact the schools on a regular basis to get your name known. good luck and what schools are you looking into |
