Hi, I recently was observing a construction site for a class and we gathered a series of pictures that had framework placed on top of the precast concrete already set in place. My question most basically is my group is confiused at to why there would be framework placed over precast when it has been established that the concrete will be the final coating. It looks as if the framework is attached and holding a part of the concrete up based on the photos we have. Is this typical? Could anyone figure a reason why the builders would place framework over concrete?

I would suggest that it is quite difficult to answer your question when none of the particulars is known to us -- and perhaps to you as well ?
At the very least, you might consider sharing your photos, here ?
