I would suggest Architectural Review, BD weekly and Detail Magazine. The first is very readable, the others are a bit technical. I also get Grand designs magazine as it's for the general public and well explained and up to date.
If you just want inspiration, look at NOTCOT.org. It's an online magazine that picks out the recent interesting projects and developments and is updated constantly. Hope that helps some.

You should definitely check out "Sensing Architecture" an online resource that offers many interesting articles that appeal to both professionals and students alike.
This blog features cutting-edge articles that discuss links between architecture, design, science and technology. I think it has a lot to offer (if I do says so myself) Kidding aside, I think it would be great for architecture students to read.
The link to Sensing Architecture is: http://sensingarchitecture.com _________________ Introducing ..."Sensing Architecture --- New Ideas for the Architecture of Tomorrow"

| why not begin by studying the 'bones' of some precedent works, as this is ultimately the boundary you'll need to cross between small scale (models, drawings..) architecture, and full scale finished work.. I suggest DETAIL magazine. It's fine to seek inspiration by looking at what others have done, especially if you're new to the profession and are searching for your own methodology or approach to design. The more you understand about how a building or installation, intervention go together structurally and physically, the more cohesive your own language will be when communicating your design to others. acg |

| thats defenitely what im looking for, but most of architectural illustrations focus on design issues rather than structure, regardless the difference between architectural design and architectural engineering..i do the latter=D, thanx for ur comment! |
