What are the 3 paralel blocks?
Housing?
I don't like how the 3 buildings stay. This is the most inefficient land use, becouse the spaces are higly fragmented.
I prefere having a U shape rather than this III form.
The U shape could concentrate some land activity in the midle. Even more, the U could be opened to that round shape of the educational building.....

built photos are seen in other "my work" posts.
the parallel ones are domitories of students.the "u"shape may cause bad facing direction of the rooms, but the outer space can be better united i agree.
mother board? alright,what ever...

In China people attach great importance to the direction of building, esp. residence. This tradition is deeply rooted in people's mind. So if you come to China, you will find most buildings are facing right to the south, which you call parallel form.
So as an architect in China, I must take this into consideration, though usually it will be a limitation for design.

What is this? A plying carpet floating in the air?
50k is only for a draftsperson/drafter & cad operator and not for an architect.

Two threads of the same subject....can we pick one? Essentially in the other thread I asked for more detail on the context and concept. Otherwise, as an object it looks great. Reminded me of the Bauhaus...without the pedestrian bridge.

Hi Jack,
With due respect to your design, the three residential buildings are simply extruded tower from plan without much consideration to the form of the building. I cannot comment on the circulation aspect as i haven't seen your drawings. I believe the people in China are very particular about the orientation of the building, but as an architect, doesn't that mean that we provide people with more than just orientation? Isn't architecture about asethetic as well too ? Look at Rem koohlaas and Renzo piano's or even Zaha Hadid's proposition for China.
