An important thing to understand about Revit Structure, and its approach to structural modeling, is that it is object-oriented rather than line-based as in traditional 2D drafting.
No kidding. That's the whole purpose of Building Information Modeling, isn't it? I thought it involved the ability to assign object data to each object drawn, such as to generate information relative to the structural aspects of the virtual model.
