ooooh . . . I like that.
Bye bye hatch patterns (my scheme to handle scaling hatches).
I assume from the picture its drawing scales not percentile scaling. _________________ Artisan

| Hatches will become really useful in many more cases than before. |

Phil Loheed points out that hatches become suddenly useful when combined with transparencies. For example, you can overlay a black and white aerial photo with a green transparency for the wooded areas, and then hatch the conifer area over top the green transparency.

The Line and Color menu options look REALLY interesting too.
Yep, that's another fix to see me through a few more days...
Thanks Bill (or was it David?) |

Hatches were reported to me to be 100X faster. Seems like a stretch but hatches do redraw substantially faster.

Bill;
What about the fuzzies issue with Quartz rendering, has it been refined? I don't want to start another rant on this matter but it has been a big issue for many of us. Every so often I turn Quartz on to see if being off is affecting some other issue that pops up and just to see if I can live it. I'm trying to get get used to it in case there is no option to turn off anti-aliasing.
The Hatch sample looks like it has nice fine lines, being an image file it's hard to tell for sure.
The speed improvement is great news, even though it rarely slows me down! _________________ Artisan
