Am trying to re-roof a small, simple inner city Victorian Workman's Cottage (circa approx. 1905) with architectural style asphalt shingles. Siding color is white; Trim color is light grey. Would you go with a darker grey (e.g. Timberline Pewter Grey)? Or a medium grey blend with an occasional touch of brown (e.g. Owens Corning Quarry Grey)? My concern is not to overwhelm the little house with a dark, heavy upper surface, yet I would like to portray a rich, authentic look. Thanks much for any help or suggestions.
