I like to model my designs in 3D. I choose to use AutoCAD so that I am compatiable with the architect and the other trades and I also choose to work with 3D solids, instead of surfaces, because they have volume and I can slice them at at angle anywhere I want and create interesting designs. I ws not able to stretch them however. I finally found a software called SmartLister that does this. If any of you are intereted, you can check it out at SmartLister.com. It helped me a bunch and i have llooking for something like this for years.
