I totally agree with you on the USELESSNES of PUNCH! Software. I forked out $100.00 on the ProPlatinum Suite, and I have been nothing but disappointed from the start. The software is very poor; the instruction manual is FULL OF MISTAKES - if you try to follow the manual you will not be able to do many tasks; the so called 3D graphics are at least a decade behind the times; if you put any more than 4 objects in/on any plan, the sofware boggs down ang the graphics break apart.
The built in objects and texture libray is so small, limited, and full of extremely fake looking objects, that you cannot possibly design anything that looks good - let alone realisitic.
And the worst thing is that PUNCH! uses its own graphics format, YOU CANNOT IMPORT GRAPHICS FROM ANY OTHER FORMAT!!!.
To be usefull, a graphics program should be compatible with at least
.3DS and/or .dxf file formats so you can import some DECENT graphics to include in your hiome plans.
PLEASE TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT PUNCH! SOFTWARE ON THIS WEBSITE, AND PREVENT PEOPLE FROM MAKING THE MISTAKE OF BUYING PUNCH! GARBAGE!!!
