If you just want a floor plan you might have more luck with a program like key cad or a similar soft cad program. The home building programs have a lot of bells a whistles that might be fun to play with but arent very practical when it comes to accurately measured floors plans. You might want to check with your local lumber yard. Many of the use softplan. Its about 1800.oo and they would be able to print out a full sized detailed drawing. Your subs will make your life miserable and use poor plans as an excuse to raise their bids during construction for things that werent "on the prints"
