Posted by kbean on July 26, 2003 at 09:31:45:hi, i just received an ITS letter from us dept of justice concerning a violations of false claims act. i am accused of forging my dad's name on a student loan app. receiving about 1900.
he said he had no knowledge of this because he didn't want to pay it. some how he managed to get them after me after 4 years. the letter says that even if i remedy the civil matters before aug 14 the us does not waive its right for criminal charges or administrative charges... this is so ridiculous. any suggestions??? i have retained a lawyer, but what are the ods i would be presecuted for felony fraud or whatever?
