Message - Round Beams? well ok...

Max:

simply draw a circle in say the south elevation view (view>elevation>south).keep the object info box open and adjust the e-w dimension and height. (making them the same to achieve a circle.) then simply enter a north-south dimension to "extrude" it and you'll have your round "beam". enter a z value to achieve the proper "elevation". In the object info box you can then select a material or simply use a color from the tool palette..

Make sense? It's pretty simple...or was your question along another line?
