Hello Anne,

This is a great question which shows off a new feature in DesignWorkshop.

With recent versions of DesignWorkshop faces are scaled about the center of the face. Big deal, right? Ah, but it presents lots of possibilities that may not be immediately apparent.

To do this make your roof block as one solid block. Now choose the Faces Tool, that's the one on the left side of the Tool Palette right above the Eye Tool. Now click on the top face of your roof block to select just the top face. Next SpaceJump to a corner handle of the face. All you have to do now is click and drag that corner handle in towards the center.

As you drag the corner handle you will notice the other three corner handles mirror your movement, scaling the face about the center of the face. This makes it incredibly easy to make a gable, hip, or pryamid roof form.

I hope this helps, please let us know whenever you have further questions.

Mike Wheeler
