Ken,

Direct reading and writing of AutoCAD DWG files is definately something we want to do in the near future with DesignWorkshop.

For a right-now solution for reading and writing drawings (not models) in DWG format, I'd recommend looking into the new PowerCADD DWG translator. It has been given glowing reports by early users. With the direct DW <-> PCD translator already available, DW <-> PCD <-> AutoCAD gives you a complete solution, with optimal 2D editing capabilities on the Mac side so you only have to bring what's necessary into DW.
