I didn't know a Windows version of DW was in the works. I understand that the business decision makes sense and you need to do what is best for your company. But I am nonetheless disappointed to hear it. I can now see why improvements in the existing program have been so slow in coming. I have seen this process occur with other programs. The Mac platform fosters or inspires a great program; is successful but there are only so many Macs, so to expand, a Windows version comes about; again success, only now there are some many more Windows customers that the Windows platform becomes dominant and the interface starts to look more like Wintel than Mac. The Mac version becomes the step child that receives improvements less often, later, and with less priority. The market place dictates, so I guess it is inevitable. I would probably be doing the same thing if it were my business. But it seems that something is lost or diluted in the spirit of the program when it crosses platforms. I'm sorry to see it happen here as well.
