Here I am in Minneapolis for the Holidays. We're on the way to Wisconsin to meet with a client who wants a dome house. I've made progress generating domes with the lathe tool, but not with duplicate miter tool. I made a double closed arc with the polyline tool, ninty degrees, gave it a foot thickness and tried to rotate it around an axis that ran through the arc. It seemed to become a single line and no dome.
Also the lathe dome could not be given openings with either tool. I was able to make small retangular openings that stayed within the facet borders. Could not cross the borders. Openings are essential, so I hope there is a way to do them!
