Thank you for trying to get contact with me about Dream House which I and Interior designer, Masako Yoshimoto. I can answer anything about Dream House so please feel free about asking any kinds of questions about Design Concept to Details.
As you might want to know about the story about Deam House, I would like to tell you a little.
Dream House was originally designed for a Japanese Prototype House for younger family with younger kids. The main concept to create a family space which would provide as much communication as possible within family menmbers. That is why I started thinking about locating the herth and stairs at the center. You can see the door of Children's room from the living room as well as from Master Bed Room on the left.
I thought about this concept when I felt there should be so much more communication within family by watching the news about increasing numbers of children's crime.
I used to live in Oregon Stetes for 11 years from 1981 to 1992. I graduated from University of Oregon and praciticed for about 4 years in Portland, Oregon so my design should be influenced by Japanese and US culture.
Well, if you would like to see other work of ours, you are welcome to experience my other work in 3DMF.
Best regards,
Jun Inoue
