Try using the AutoCAD DXF Documentation at http://www.uni-weimar.de/~koch3/cae/page/dxf/dxf_toc.htm.

If you get it al working could you tell me hou to read the DXF VERTEX command. I'm an OpenGL programmer and I spend a lot of time into creating a nice DXF model, till I found out that I couldn't read it because it were DXF VERTEX commands instead of the "easy" 3DFACES.
