We resolved Allan's problem through e-mail, which is why there was no public response from Artifice to his post.
We are sorry to hear about the difficulties you have experienced using DesignWorkshop, but we do have a workaround that you can try. In the folder containing the DesignWorkshop Lite application (dwlite.exe), you'll find another application entitled "FastLoad.exe".
Before you run DesignWorkshop, run the FastLoad application. Then run DesignWorkshop. FastLoad will run virtually invisibly in the background, and does not consume much of your system resources. Give this method a try and let us know what you find.
