DesignWorkshop is a very flexible program, and the Lite version is great considering it's only a demo. I've hit a few problems, though.
1) The 3DMF opening problem continues, despite running Fastload.exe in the background. Large 3DMF files on disk and 3DMF views of large DW files still refuse to open with the following error message;
Systems Exception File: D3Scene.cpp line:1208
SE Error = Oxc 0000005
Possible Low Resource Problem save work and exit.
2) I don't know how to view Great Buildings from .sit archives on my PC. Is this possible?
3) DW Lite refuses to open certain DW files (Starts to open, shows progress bar for a split second, then stops. No error message, no crash, returns to the previous file and carries on as if nothing had happened.)
This happens with:
A) File from Online Terrain machine: DW file from my email effects data.
B) All user-uploaded 3D objects in DW format from Artifice website.
(However, the files downloaded from the Tree Machine and the Snake machine open OK.)
4) Lathe Machine Axis Error: every time I try to lathe anything, even a simple polyline triangle, I get Axis Error on all 3 axes. Am I doing something wrong?
I am running Design Workshop Lite on a Gateway P5-166 PC: Pentium 166MHz MMX with 32Mb and 2Mb integrated video RAM.
