Hello Steve,

Thank you for contacting Artifice Support.

It sounds like the meaning of the first message may be exactly what it says "Possible Low Resource Problem". In other words you need more memory to view large 3DMFs and view large DesignWorkshop models in Lights and Textures.

The models on the Great Buildings pages are DesignWorkshop 3dmf files that are compressed for ease of downloading. You can decompress these models after they have been downloaded by using Aladdin Expander. Aladdin Expander can be freely downloaded from:

http://www.aladdinsys.com/expander/index.html

The ".sit" extension you see at the end of a Great Buildings model name means that the model is compressed and should be expanded using Aladdin Expander. After expanding the model you should have no trouble opening it in DesignWorkshop.

Could you send us a terrain model that is not opening for you. We will take a look at it and figure out what is going on. The problem here could easily be related to memory. It is possible to make very large terrain models that require significant memory to open.

The Lathe Machine should be working fine, if you send us a polyline that you are trying to lathe we will take a look and let you know what is causing the error.

Please let us know whenever you have further questions.

Thanks,

Mike Wheeler
