2d is 2d, 3d is 3d....
a hole can only be a hole if it is in a 3d object. otherwise it would be a circle or square or another 2d object...
therefore I dont belive it is possible to import a "hole" into a 3d program from a 2d app. well you can but it is NOT a hole, it is a circle etc.

I thought i knew what you were asking but now I am not sure....but i think i understood you correctly.

may be worth reasking the ? on top of the Board but you might want to think about how to clearly ask the question so people arent totally confused by it.....

ps Ken it is not worthwhile to compare Radiance and the type of rendering you do....they are extremely different and serve different purposes. Why try to comapre the two? They both serve the needs of clients and design quit trying to "compare" the's just not worth it!
