I agree with your analysis. It is nice though to have those one or two handy tools in the "workbox".
It was12/9/97 when Artifice posted the new Lightworks plugin in the private release section. As an owner I believe you should have access. If not, contact Artifice. I would recommend checking them out. Their much improved, however, keep in mind "nothing is perfect".
