Now, this is precisely why I "love" DW...! I didn't have yet the occurence to "build" a complete model in my everyday practice, so I don't have some "handy" examples...but the works of Kevin's students vouch for the "intelligence" of the tool !
I know every Mac based 3D programs... Apart from ArchiCad where the principle is at first to draw plans and to have a look at the resulting model, all the others 3D are "outdated"!
With Exception, Amapi, and Design Workshop, a new generation of modeling tools is showing it's nose (french). Intuitive, with few tools or palettes, but most demanding on one's brain...wich seems to be a serious drawback in a copy/paste culture....
One's can always escape boolean operations.... Hop at PowerCadd site and you'll see a upturned boat, a design of mine. It is also a 3D model that is one of the hardest to do ( lining planks with real triple curvature and "holes" in them) If I had to do it again, I would choose a simpler way and DW....
