Hi Rob,
It's good to hear from you again.
Yet another method to add to the list is a good one if your wall already has openings.
If you slice through a wall from a plan view to make two walls, the openings in your wall will be eliminated. This is often not a desireable result. So, to get around this, simply select your wall and use the Edit menu, Scale command to scale the width of your object by 50%.
So, if you had a 6" wall running North-South, you would scale it by 50% in the East-West direction. The result would be a 3" wall with all the openings still in it. Next, just select the wall and duplicate it. Place the duplicate 3" wall alongside the original wall and the result is two 3" walls, one for the exterior and another for the interior.
If your walls, however, are mitered at the corners, then you'll have a bit of fixing to do because the scaling of the wall thickness will tweak the mitered angles a little. Using the Arrange menu, Fit commands should fix this without too much trouble.
Thanks for asking, as I know this is a helpful topic to many users!
