Rolando....

Check out my homepage and check out the logos on the buildngs and the department letters. Is that what you mean?
What I did is very simple!

I used PowerCadd to pick a font and selected "outline font" ( I think thats the command) It gives you the outline of the stroke.
Then I "saved as" a DW file or dxf file and imported it into DesignWorkshop.
Then you simply extrude it up using the info box and resize it as appropraite using scale. Rotate it to the proper orientation (plane) as it willusually come in in plan view.

Openings then need to be added ONLY AFTER the object is extruded. Using the "openings" (which are really just polylines) use the trim tool (openings tool) to cut the opening using the original as a template. You don't need to be too accurate because you can then reshape it after you close it.
After you finish delete the polylines and away you go....add a finish if you like, such as neon or a color.....and youre set!...much easier than it might initially sound here.....

Others may have different techniques....

Email me or repost a ?? if youre confused or perhaps the techs may help you if you post again....

cya!
