yes to all yr Qs.
proD express des files can be opened directly in pro engineer and proD will also export STEP and IGES so you can do stress analysis with a separate stress analysis program.
It will also import step,iges,sat and open pro-engineer.
Mass and volume, moment of intertia, centre of grav, surface area properties are available in the program.
The real advantage is that it is parametric, you can change the dimensions and have multiple configurations of each part, fully associative drawings etc.
It works like solidworks, solidedge etc but without some of the bells and whistles :-)
