i've started a small side business designing custom furniture - mostly for small recording studios. studio desks, creative storage, bookshelves and racks, etc. since i'm not the best illustrator, i'd like to be able to show the clients a simulacrum of what they'll be getting, and i though 3d modeling would be a good answer.
i want the models to be to scale (obviously) and i was looking for a way i could type in the dimentions of each peice and just stick them together. is there any program taht does this? (type in the dimentions for each peice, that is.)
i've got a 90 day demo of amapi designer, and i haven't had it very long, but it doesn't seem to be what i'm looking for. i couldn't even figure out if i could assign the grid marks a size (i.e. each square=1"sq). this would make it much easier for me to measure.
someone help me!!!
