Hi,
I have created one half of a face (a polygon model) and then used the
mirror geometry tool to get the second half. Unfortunately, the result
is rather strange and it looks more like "two face" from the movie Batman.

Here is an image of my problem:

I am still quite new to Maya and I checked the normals and they seem to
look fine. Is there anything I can do to create the same shadow effect
on both sides? In addition, I'd like to ask what I can do about the
border connecting the two parts of the face?

Thank you for any help in advanced,
Oliver
