I am new to modeling and 3d studio max. I wish to model a charactor of which I have front, side, and top pictures of. I made the front and side picture of equal height and the top and front of equal width using photoshop.
I then opened 3d Studio Max, clicked on views, viewport background, and set the appropriate picture for each view. When the images popped into view they were of different demensions. Hence, a newly created cylinder in the front view was way to small to model(adjust) in the side view. I have looked at the settings and i just cant figure out why this is the case since the front and side pictures are in equal height. Can you spread some light on this problem im having?
I also noticed when i choose a viewport whether its front or side and zoom in, sometimes the picture distorts to a tall ripply picture and sometimes it distorts to a short ripply looking one. Any ideas on whats causing this also?
