Posted by Algernon on April 05, 2004 at 06:13:53:I have access to Maya 4 at uni, but am learning from a Maya 2 book.
Following one of the tutorials I am trying to set a constraint->aim so that a spotlight follows a group.According to my Maya 2 book I select a member of the group, and then press the up-arrow to select the entire group (this works), then shift-click the spotlight to select this also, and then from the animation set, select constraints->aim. According to the book, my lights should now point at model at all times.
However it appears the lights are pointing 90degress away from the model, and I cant then point them towards the model. Moving the lights or the model will cause the spotlights to alter their rotation to stay pointing 90degress away.
I take it this is a difference between Maya2 and 4, does anyone know how to achieve the effect I want?
Yours Hopefully
Algernon.
