Registered owners of DesignWorkshop 1.7 can now download a special texture set which demonstrates the power of alpha channel textures, supported in the latest private release version of DesignWorkshop.
Alpha channel textures are great for rapidly adding more realistic-looking accessories to your spatial models. Using this classic technique, complex objects like trees, people, ornate door and window frames, classical balustrades, chain-link and picket fencing, lettering on glass, and so on, can be depicted in full detail without significantly adding to the model size.
