I need help texturing in 3Ds Max 4

Is there any way to take a screen shot or something similar in 3D max, to use as a template when I’m creating a texture?
I am trying to texture a space ship for Starfleet Command 3
P.S. I’m a High School student and only a beginner so I’m sorry if this is a dumb question.
