I am an Autocad and 3d studio max user. I'm always looking at new software with new ways of visualizing architecture. I am impressed with designworkshop's ease of use and interface. I was ver impressede at its ability to cast vector shadows that can be copied to the clipboards and pasted into any illustration program.
The only limitation of this program is that it cannot seem to import any 3d information in DXF format other than 3d faces and solids. I build my models out of polylines with thickness, and they translate in as 2d polylines. It seems that it would be a simple fix to be able to add in a conversion for those 2d polylines with thickess. The only trick would be to cap the closed entities. Does anyone have a conversion utility that can convert 3d DXF files into the native designworkshop DW format?
It seems that this application is only one step away from being a very powerful architectural design visualization tool!
