i have downloaded the latest version of lightworks.
i discovered last night that the model is getting big and memory is hampered so i hid some phases and it worked better. i have some detailed fixtures shown on the interior of the space that once hidden relieves the rendering memory problem i assume. However that begs another question. I noticed that the manual suggests trimming the objects the lights are shinning on. If i have a number of detailled fixtures shown (incl shelves etc...remember i want it to be realistic) do i need to trim the fixtures? i DID trim the floor but not the fixtures. I will try again using my machine at work this mornning which has more memory and ill download the new lightworks here too....if i do have to trim the fixtures (which would be a hassle one by one), can i do it as a group that will trim thru the group as a whole?)

sorry for all the minute detail but, again, i'm trying to make this as realistic looking as possible! (which is the goal, right?)

thanks in advance for your help alex and anyone else who might have any suggestions. again, though, the lighting explanations would be helpful as right now im trying trial and error as it relates to different types. Id be happy to email the file if you want to see what / why its happening but I'm sure thats a little too much to ask!

thanks again!
Gary
