I have downloaded the pre-release version for Windows five weeks ago. I've followed the web-site tutorial, but due to my impatience and a list of projects I want to use this software on, I need to crunch the learning curve. I would appreciate any help.
I read the previous message- Retail Store in Santa Monica. The commands that Michael describes I can't find. (i.e., the "attach" command, grouping, ungrouping, extruding.) I have imported a DXF drawing created in AutoCAD and I have noticed that entities in ACAD that have a "thickness" seem to loose this feature when brought in to DW. The Z values are maintained, but I can't seem to extrude the lines or convert it to a solid block. Also, when I hide lines, all the imported lines dissappear.
Do I need to re-draw over the imported floorplan, and if so how do you "snap" to existing entities?
Is a user's quide available for the Windows DW version?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
