There are some more tutorials on the artifice website, I think?
Anyway you can try doing with your house the same approach as given in the tutorial. Otherwise you might get some pointers from any how-to draft houses book. Architects often start with floor plans---getting the walls and openings accurately positioned horizontally. "section" studies might help you see what you will need to consider in the vertical dimension.

You might want to sketch out your house with a pencil first, recording all the information in an orthographic fashion so you will have all you need when you go to modeling.
