Mike,
This has been my experince over the last year.
Liteworks does a good job with night scenes but cannot simulate the effects of the the sun on a scene.
It is extremely difficult to get Radiance going. I had to pay Larry Wright to help set it up for me. I can see it working in an academic enviroment but not in the real world because it takes hours up hours to generate a scene.
It is hard to get a complex model from DW to Infite D by any means.
If you know what you are doing PhotoShop is the best.
