Pardon the delay in responding. Been kind of hectic lately.
For your question concerning running Windows on a Mac I can only give an evaluation of what I'm running. I did a thorough investigation, at the time I made the decision to run Windows on my Mac, and came to the conclusion that the Orange PC card (http://www.orangemicro.com) was the best option. I've found it to be reasonably reliable, stable, and very flexible. I'm running W95 on it, however, NT is also an option. I chose W95 only because it was what we were using at the office at the time. I intend to switch over to NT in the future. It far outclasses W95. (On a personnel note; W95 is a joke.)
As for the applications, there isn't any difference in the way they operate. In fact there are a few perks in the interchangeability between the Mac OS.
On the benchmark tests there was a speed difference, however, who really notices. The prices I noticed have come down quite a bit. Check out there web site (http://www.orangemicro.com) for there latest prices.
All that being said, truth is I rarely use it. I get to much of the Wintel world at the office and when I come home all I want see is my happy Mac.
By the way, how's Pagemaker?
