I recently downloaded the program and have worked through the tutorials, but, not being an architect or professional designer, I am having difficulty understanding the procedures for creating roofs.
I see that the basic tutorial creates a roof as a massing model, but then the advanced tutorial on dormers shows the roof to start out as a spatial model. I can't find the way to make the transition to a spatial roof block from the steps in the tutorial. I'm trying to design an attic section with a large dormer section and some rooms with walls that are partially vertical and partially inclined at the same pitch as the roof.
Can someone enlighten me as to how to set up the roof as a spatial model that I can place rooms and windows in?
