There's a small but powerful new feature available now online at the DesignWorkshop Lathe Machine, at the link below.

Now the Lathe Machine will create partial turnings, sweeping your profile through anything up to and including 360 degrees to create a single solid object.

This new capability means, for instance, that in addition to making the shape of a whole pie as one solid, the Lathe Machine can now make the shape of a pie with a slice taken out.

This also applies to donut-type turnings, with an open center. Now, in addition to making an "O" shape as a single solid, the Lathe Machine can now create an elegant "C" shape, like a donut with a bite taken out.

We built it, so now it's up to you to apply this new functionality in your own creative projects. One example to get you thinking would be to make 3/4 of a classical Doric column to fit elegantly on the corner of a building.

Enjoy,

K
